Stephen Bradbourne is considered by the glass community as being one of the preeminent glass blowers in New Zealand. The 'Leaf' works created specifically for this project draw inspiration directly from Bombay Sapphire and its Botanical ingredients. After researching the differing leaf types of the ten Botanicals, Stephen chose five for their interesting detail, evocative name and differing shapes.
One piece was created in direct response to the Bombay Sapphire colouring while the other five Botanical inspired pieces are based on aspects of the Lemon, Coriander, Cassia, Cubeb and Grains of Paradise leaves.


The leaf forms were painstakingly constructed from hundreds of individual pieces of glass, then heated, fused and shaped to create the finished piece.
