CONTEMPORARY BAR

Simon James is an innovative New Zealand furniture designer. Simon's contemporary take on a functional bar incorporates six hidden inset display cases through which objects, in this instance flowers and blossoms inspired by Bombay’s botanicals, are revealed by random sequence lighting.

The idea behind the bar design was to showcase not only the end product but also the influence of botanicals in its vapour infusion. This was incorporated into the structure in a refined subtle way which is reflective of Bombay Sapphire.

The bar is made of wood, perspex and finished in a black lacquer. At four meters long the bar accommodates two service areas including sinks and speed wells.
